This is one of the largest educational institutions in Prague and the most popular university for students coming under the Erasmus+ program. When you enter the ČZU campus, you immediately realize that you have entered a huge, modern and large-scale institution. The main advantage is the equally huge green park. Today it is the third largest university in Prague and the first in the whole country in the field of agriculture, with more than 150 bachelor's, master's and doctoral study programs. The ČZU has been operating since 1776, but it began to teach agricultural specialties in 1906, when the Higher School of Agriculture was opened on the basis of the university by the decree of Emperor Franz Josef. In 1920, the school was re-accredited and became a college, and in 1952, after receiving support from the Ministry of Agriculture and appropriate funding from the state, it officially became a university.

Faculty of Forestry and Woodworking
The specialized faculty with the specialties of Forestry and Forestry has been in existence for 27 years (since 1990), with Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The lecture programs for students are virtually identical, while seminars and practical classes are conducted individually in groups and often take place outside the classroom, but in conditions close to working conditions. The master's course is complemented by environmental engineering, disciplines in soil evaluation and protection, biosphere care, genetic engineering and breeding. There is no doctoral program in these specialties.
Faculty of Environment
It offers the study of spatial planning and related administrative services. Bachelor's degree in two specialties: "Environmental Engineering" and "Landscape Design". How to enroll in CHZU: what to pay attention to
Entrance tests are individual and vary depending on the chosen faculty. Some require the passing of written testing, mainly tests in specialized subjects or a general test that reveals the ability to learn, while others require an interview. The advantages of studying in the capital of the Czech Republic are a kindred mentality that allows you to avoid psychological discomfort, the opportunity to get an education that is quoted in the world community and, of course, to find a job with a high salary. The education system in the Czech Republic is practically no different from ours, the general education school program is enough to pass the entrance exams. Difficulties in admission are easy enough to avoid, if you take into account some nuances.
Languages of instruction
Theoretical knowledge in CSU (regardless of the faculty and the chosen specialty) is taught in Czech and English. Without the necessary language base, it will be problematic to enroll, and it is impossible to study, so it makes sense to sign up for language courses in advance. Why not on your own? Firstly, collective learning and live communication contribute to better language acquisition. Secondly, there is such a thing as specialized terms (and there are a lot of them in technical and economic subjects), and ordinary courses give general knowledge, without the nuances of studying in foreign universities.
Which language to choose is up to you. If there is not enough knowledge in any of the teaching languages, it is more expedient to study Czech in depth for several reasons:
- this is the language of communication of the country in which, with a successful result, you will live for at least 4 years;

Submission of documents and admission
For admission to the bachelor's degree, it is required to provide a certificate of graduation from a secondary school. Master's and doctoral studies require the submission of diplomas of graduation from specialized secondary technical or higher educational institutions. In order for the documents to be accepted it is necessary:
- To nostrify a certificate or diploma. The admissions committee is not required to know the languages, so the documentation is accepted in Czech and English. It is required to provide documents in translated form, the legality of which is notarized.
- Do not miss the deadline for submission. Unlike CIS universities, the European commissions start working from January, open days are held according to a schedule that can be viewed on the official website of the University.
- Get ready for an unusual form of passing exams for us – testing, provided for in most specialties. This approach is easier and more complicated at the same time. For a certain period of time, it is easier to put "birds" in the correct answers, but the habit of taking a theoretical and practical course "in Russian" with oral and detailed written answers can cause a "psychological stupor" even in a prepared entrant. Practice ahead of time.
You can enter the CHZU without exams. Information about entrance exams may change, and the number of faculties that do not conduct entrance exams may increase or decrease. Also, great news for students will be that you can pass internal nostrification at the university without passing a nostrification exam.
